What does the website health check test?
It runs about a dozen checks across four dimensions. Security covers HTTPS, HTTP-to-HTTPS redirects, and security response headers. Performance looks at HTTP version and cache headers. DNS and Domain covers DNS records, IPv6, DNSSEC, and domain expiry. Crawlability checks your robots.txt and sitemap. Each check is graded, then rolled up into a single score and an A-to-F grade.
What does the grade mean?
The grade is a letter from A to F derived from your score out of 100. An A or B means most checks passed and nothing important is broken. A C means there are warnings worth addressing. A D or F means one or more checks failed and need attention. The summary line shows exactly how many checks passed, warned, or failed.
Why do some checks say "info"?
An info result means the check did not apply to your site or could not be determined, for example a feature that is optional or a value we could not read. Info results are shown for completeness but do not count against your score, so they never lower your grade.
How is continuous monitoring different from a one-off audit?
This page is a single snapshot of your site right now. Things change: certificates expire, headers get removed in a deploy, DNS is edited, a domain lapses.
